About Nuala

'Nuala was selected to appear on Sky Portrait Artist of the Year'
Nuala Herron is a Visual Irish Artist specialising in Drawing and Painting. She aims to tell a story through painting, encouraging a dialogue between the art and viewer. Nuala has exhibited Nationally and Internationally, gaining widespread recognition and her works have been purchased for private collections.
Originally from Derry-Londonderry, Northern Ireland, Nuala completed her Fine Art degree at Belfast College of Art, after first studying Art for two years in Edinburgh.
She graduated in 2004 and was awarded the John Turner Bursary Award for Figurative Painter of the Year.
Nuala has received funding and won several awards including a New York residency from The NI arts council and funding from The Culture Company, while also being selected to appear on Sky Portrait artist of the year.
She is a member of Visual Arts Ireland, Artlink Inishowen and The Artist Collective 'Spilt Milk' Edinburgh.
